Have Your Say on Lewisham’s Tenancy Agreement

Lewisham Council is reviewing the tenancy agreement for people living in Lewisham Council managed homes, and they would like to hear from Lewisham Council tenants.

The tenancy agreement is an important document. It explains the rights and responsibilities of tenants and Lewisham Council as your landlord. The current agreement needs to be updated so that it reflects current housing law, regulatory requirements, council policies and the way housing services operate today.

Social housing landlords are required to make sure that their tenancy arrangements meet legal and regulatory requirements. The Regulator of Social Housing’s Tenancy Standard says that landlords must meet all applicable legal requirements relating to the form and use of tenancy agreements and publish clear, accessible information about their approach to managing tenancies.
