Energy Dispensation

Energy Dispensation

This information is for Regenter B3 leaseholders paying towards electricity in communal areas within your service charge. If you are not sure if this applies to you, please refer to your breakdown of your service charge to identify if you pay towards “Electricity for communal lighting”

Lewisham Homes, who source the electricity on behalf of London Borough of Lewisham, being the freeholder of the block/house,  has applied to the First-tier Tribunal Property Chamber (Residential Property) on behalf of the London Borough of Lewisham for dispensation from the consultation requirements contained in Section 20 of the Landlord and Tenant Act 1985. This is in relation to the qualifying long term agreement proposed for the procurement of the supply of electricity to leaseholders. This is for the supply to communal areas only and will not affect individual utility contracts you have within your property for your own electric or gas supply.

The Tribunal requires that we make leaseholders aware of this application and inform you of your right to either support or oppose it.
